It is August! I can hardly believe I have been working on Sugar Floss Sweets for 2 months. I've wanted to open at 100% and I don't think I realized exactly what that meant as far as preparations! August has seen legal work commencing, finalization of flavors for the website, machine decorations made, visits with the carpenter to begin work on our custom candy cart, selection of business colors, meetings with my marketing/logo designer, final website photographs taken, additional offerings added and food safety/handling certificates updated. Phew......it has been a lot and I am so ready to launch! My target is August 18th, if not before. Less than 2 weeks and this amazing adventure finally begins.

I'm beyond grateful to my super supportive husband and children. The kids are ready to dive-in and get started as they will be working hard toward saving for their vehicles. Ben plans to be very hands-off and has let me run with it. Aside from helping me to get up and running, he is excited to sit back and see the business flourish. He has been my working capital and the one I have bounced ideas off of. He has supported my crazy ideas from the start and has gone to carpenter meetings with me offering his opinions and support for our largest investment into Sugar Floss Sweets. He is encouraging, supportive, proud, patient and more than ready to get this business launched! I can't say thank you enough to my family.
